Physician and anesthesiologist, expert in perioperative pain management.

Graduated as a Bachelor of Medicine and specialized in Anesthesiology from the University of Los Andes (ULA). He has more than 15 years experience in bariatric anesthesiology. He has worked as a surgeon, head of operating rooms, and as a disseminator.

About the author

He received his Degree in Medicine from the Universidad de los Andes (ULA), Mérida, Venezuela, in 1993, and as an anesthesiologist from the same university in 2002. He was a gynecology and obstetrics professional at the Sor Juana Inés Hospital . de la Cruz in Mérida and has been practicing as a surgeon for more than 25 years.

He has extensive experience in perioperative pain management and as a bariatric anesthesiologist. In addition, he is co-founder of the Samuel Darío Maldonado Maternal and Child Hospital in Barinas, Venezuela, where he has been operating room chief for 4 years. Currently, he also practices in private practice.
