Graduated in Journalism and Social Sciences. An editor, writer and coordinator of cultural projects associated with the promotion of reading and writing. She has also served as author and co-author of books and has received numerous awards for her management.

About the author

Graduated in Journalism at the INPAHU Higher Education Foundation of Bogotá (1990) and in Social Sciences at the “Francisco José de Caldas” District University of Bogotá (1990).

She has experience as a coordinator in the project planning, execution, and research, as well as in the preparation of articles for several virtual magazines.

Among her current occupations, she highlights management of the blog for the newspaper El Espectador and writing articles on health, psychology and personal development on Step to Health and La Mente es Maravillosa.

Some of her professional achievements are the authorship of the books “Un duro – Aproximaciones a la vida” and “Un río de mil brazos” and co-authoring “Humor cautivo”, “Inventario de asombros”, “Impresos comunitarios” and “Seis historias para ser contadas”, among others.

Similarly, she has earned a significant number of awards and recognitions;

  • Winner of the scholarship in cultural journalism, Ministry of Culture of Colombia (1999).
  • Winner of the journalism awards Semana-Petrobras (2011) and Entrégate a Colombia-Servientrega (2012).
  • Winner of the National Internships in Literature of the Ministry of Culture (2009 and 2018).
  • Winner in the chronicle contest "Ciudad de Bogotá" (2014).
  • Honorable mention in the National Chronicle and Testimony Contest, Central University (2017) and in the National Chronicle Book Award (2010).
  • Winner of the contest "Reading is my story" (2011).
