Getting rid of accumulated fat is no easy task. In fact, it requires multiple and constant efforts to eliminate it completely.

The problem is that few people have the patience to wait for the results. They search for shortcuts and follow strict diets or regimens that can affect their health.

Because of this, nutritionists and experts recommend adopting a healthy diet, as shown in this study conducted by the Provincial Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Cuba. It should be a calorie-controlled diet that includes all food groups.

In addition, you can consume natural supplements whose properties stimulate your metabolism and help shed the pounds more easily. In today’s article, we want to recommend a healthy cinnamon and bay leaf tea that’s renowned for its diuretic and purifying properties.

It’s also important to do plenty of physical exercise to increase your calorie expenditure.

Cinnamon is a spice that’s valued for its multiple culinary, medicinal, and home uses. According to a study by the North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, it contains essential oil, antioxidants, and nutrients that accelerate your metabolism, increase energy expenditure and promote weight loss.

A study published in Food and Function claims that cinnamon promotes weight loss. One of its mechanisms is to prevent the accumulation of fatty acids in adipose tissue. It also stimulates enzymes that favor lipolysis.

Until recently, it was believed that consuming this spice was useful for regulating blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes. However, a study carried out by the Mashhad University of Medical Science (Iran) refutes this theory.

According to a study published in the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, cinnamon promotes the death or apoptosis of cancer cells through different mechanisms.
