Is it possible to get rid of warts? We present a list of effective ways to quickly be done with warts without expensive treatments
Warts are small lumps that appear on the skin, formed by the dilation of vascular bundles and the hardening of the overlying skin. These lumps are mainly an aesthetic problem since they tend to be pretty unsightly.
There are a wide variety of medical treatments to help get rid of warts without leaving any scars. Some are so potent that they can get ride of them in a matter of minutes. However, it’s important to make it clear that the majority of these remedies are quite expensive.
However, nature has also provided some options for getting rid of these inconvenient lumps without having to spend a lot of money. And, just like the expensive treatments, they won’t leave a single mark on the skin.
Here, we have a list of effective ways to be done with warts.
Take a fresh clove of garlic and crush it until you get a chunky paste. Apply it over the wart and then cover the area with a bandage or piece of fabric. Keep it tight enough so that the mixture doesn’t move.
Leave it to act over night and the next day remove the bandage and clean the area well. Repeat this process daily until the wart dries and falls off.
2. Apple cider vinegar
This liquid is ideal for drying out these little bumps. All you have to do is take a small bandage and put three drops of apple cider vinegar on it. Put the bandage over the wart and, in the same way as the garlic treatment, leave it to act overnight.
Repeat this process for five consecutive days making sure not to skip any. If it’s possible, replace the bandage each morning.
3. Banana skin
Don’t throw away that banana skin! Keep it and rub over your warts. Repeat this various times throughout the day, or put a piece of banana skin over the wart and keep it there with some medical tape. Leave it to act overnight. This method will give results within two weeks.
4. Adhesive tape
Put a small piece of adhesive tape over the wart and leave it for six days. Then soak the wart and repeat the process until it falls off. It might take a little more than a month for this to happen.
5. Onion juice
Onions are great for combating warts as well as the virus that causes them. The trick is to cut the onion into to pieces and leave it in a bowl with quite a lot of salt overnight. In the morning, you can separate the juice and, before you go to bed, apply it directly onto the affected area. This treatment will take about twelve days to yield results.
6. Castor oil
Caster oil can help get rid of those bothersome warts in less than four weeks. This method consists in mixing a little baking powder with castor oil until it forms a sticky paste. Spread the paste over the wart and cover it with tape or a small bandage.
7. Vitamin C
Prepare a paste by mashing a vitamin C tablet with some water. Apply the mixture directly onto the affected area and leave it to act for 20 minutes. Repeat this daily. The acid pH of vitamin C helps deal with warts in no time.
8. Essential tea tree oil
Essential tea tree oil has powerful medicinal properties for curing skin problems. It is anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal. The correct way to use it is to put a few drops on the affect area. Do this three times a day. As with many home remedies, it’s a little slower to work but the results are fantastic.
9. Aloe vera
Aloe vera is one of the main home remedies for treating skin problems. Just like the essential tea tree oil, it has anti-bacterial properties. By just applying it to warts three times a day, it will make them disappear without leaving any marks or scars, all in just a few days.
