There’s nothing more refreshing than this cucumber, lemon, and mint smoothie. All its ingredients are natural and are found in any kitchen that’s moderately stocked with healthy food.

This smoothie is also delicious, extremely easy to make, and it may help  you lose weight naturally. Take a look at all the ingredients below to understand how this recipe may help you slim down quickly.

Benefits of cucumber

Chopped cucumber.

Cucumber contains few calories, around 16 calories for every 100 grams. When your total intake of calories throughout the day is small, then you burn them regularly because the body uses the excess fat automatically.

This cucumber smoothie aids digestion and makes your metabolism more efficient. Thus, it may help you burn more energy and accumulate less fat. As a result, you may lose that pesky weight!

Cucumber is an excellent detoxifier that’s made up of 95% water and 5% fiber. Cucumber helps cleanse the body and eliminate toxins that complicate your digestion.

Detoxification is important for a healthy digestive system since it helps improve the digestive system and metabolism. Furthermore, the fiber in cucumber helps fill you up, control your appetite, and stop you from overeating.

Due to its high water contents, cucumber is an excellent natural diuretic. It helps eliminate sodium in the water our body retains.

Benefits of mint

Mint leaves have high fiber levels which:

  • Reduce your risk of indigestion.
  • Help reduce cholesterol levels.
  • Reduce your risk of weight gain and obesity.
  • Help stimulate digestive enzymes.
  • Help convert fat into usable energy.

As well as aiding weight loss, mint helps improve digestion, reduces your risk of nausea, and helps cure respiratory problems and stop bad breath.

Mint leaves also contain small quantities of catechins and caffeine. These two chemicals tend to speed up the metabolism and increase the body temperature, thus helping our bodies to burn additional calories.

In this cucumber smoothie, mint provides an aromatic fragrance which can have a big impact on your appetite and helps control your cravings.

Benefits of lemon

Lemon water.

Lemon juice contains almost a quarter of your required daily vitamin C intake. It’s a great antioxidant which helps improve bodily functions and overall physical condition.

Lemon juice is a natural diuretic. When added to water, it promotes the elimination of excess liquids. This can help relieve bloating and constipation.

  • The polyphenols in lemons help reduce your risk of accumulating body fat.
  • The small amount of potassium in lemons helps improve digestion.
  • The citric acid helps the liver produce more bile, thus helping improve digestion.

In this cucumber smoothie, lemons prevent the mint from browning. Nevertheless, it’s important to drink the smoothie as soon as it’s ready.

Benefits of water

Water keeps the body hydrated, which is really important because dehydration slows down the burning of calories. Furthermore, it lubricates joints and muscles during exercise and helps the blood supply oxygen to the muscles.

Water also helps you feel fuller during meals and stops you from overeating.

In this cucumber smoothie, water hydrates the rest of the ingredients and adds on to the liquid consistency.
