The skin around your neck is thinner than the skin on the rest of your body, and has fewer sebaceous glands when compared to the protective layers of your face and body. That’s why, as the years go by, we need the best natural neck skin care treatments.

The neck is one of the parts of the body that shows the signs of aging the most, with the appearance of sagging skin, wrinkles, and age spots.

But another reason for this deterioration in appearance has to do with neglect, because most people are more likely to pay attention to the skin of their face while ignoring this important neighboring region.

Commercially available treatments for the neck are often very expensive, prohibitively so for most people. That’s why in today’s article we want to share some natural skin care treatments that are affordable. Treatments that, when used regularly, can help rejuvenate, invigorate, and improve the appearance of the skin of your neck.

Neck skin care treatments: barley cleanser

A small bag of barley.
Just like every other part of your body, your neck accumulates the grime and grit of everyday activities, and a quick rinse in the shower isn’t always enough to clean it thoroughly.

The first of our neck skin care treatments is a natural cleanser made with barley. It’s great for removing impurities because it contains astringent properties that penetrate deep into the skin.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 handful of barley
  • 5 drops of lemon essential oil

How do you make it?

  • Firstly, heat the water and barley in a pot. Bring it to a boil over a medium to high heat, and, when it has boiled briefly, remove it from heat, strain off the liquid, and then store it in an airtight container.
  • After that, add the five drops of lemon essential oil, shake it well, and apply it to the skin of your neck using a cotton swab or washcloth.

Restorative toner

This toner will soothe your skin and help retain its firmness by promoting the development of collagen and elastin.

This is important because the antioxidants found in this toner stimulate the repair and renewal of your skin cells.

Ingredients

  • 3 leaves of lettuce
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • The juice from ½ a lemon

How do you make it?

  • Firstly, process the lettuce to obtain the juice, and then combine it with the honey and lemon juice.
  • Then apply this mixture to your neck and chest area and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing.

  • 2 stalks of aloe vera
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 egg white
  • Fresh oregano

How do you make it?
