In this article you will learn about a simple remedy with beets and molasses that can help you treat ovarian cysts. That way, you can improve your health and, in the long run, keep them  from turning into more serious illnesses.

What are ovarian cysts?

Both younger and older women can suffer ovarian cysts or fibroids at any time. Although in some cases they do not cause any other issues,  we have treat them properly so that they do not become malignant .

Although many factors can influence their appearance, in most cases the causes are unknown. However, you should know their usual symptoms so that you can talk to your doctor as soon as possible:

  • Irregularities in your menstrual cycle, especially when it is too long.
  • Feeling of pressure or weight in the pelvis .
  • Pain in the lower abdomen

In some cases, these main symptoms may be accompanied by problems when urinating, weight gain or breast tenderness .  If you have any doubts, we recommend a gynecological visit.

Helpful foods

Below we highlight two very healthy and beneficial foods to prevent and treat ovarian cysts. Both share very powerful properties to fight free radicals and reduce inflammatory processes.

Also, these two foods are important because of the large amount of nutrients they provide. By eating them, we can avoid nutritional deficits and strengthen our immune system to prevent the appearance of cysts.

Beets are a vegetable with a purple color and sweet taste. They are a medicinal food that can help us naturally treat many imbalances. So, they are very useful for all those diseases that affect the blood, such as anemia, cholesterol , hypertension or poor circulation.

This vegetable is rich in sugars and vitamins B and C, and its folic acid content should be noted. We also can’t forget about its leaves which contain proteins, minerals (zinc, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium and iron) and vitamins A, B and C.

Beets can be effective in the prevention and treatment of ovarian cysts thanks to the properties of its pigments. These have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and chemopreventive components.

Molasses is a dark, thick and sweet liquid that is obtained thorugh the sugar cane making process. Thanks to its nutrients, this food is much healthier than white sugar or chemical sweeteners. Also, it has a very intense and particular taste similar to licorice.

Molasses is rich in calcium, copper, iron and potassium, as well as B vitamins, especially B6. The darker its color, the more nutrients it has . This can be a good help when choosing one or another and, if possible, choose organic.

At the medicinal level, these nutrients, as well as its high content of amino acids and linoleic acid, have a strong anti tumor power. Because of that, molasses is a traditional remedy to prevent ovarian cysts and one of the best ways to sweeten our dishes.
