Homemade Hair Smoothing Creams

· October 14, 2014

Most women (adults, teenagers, and girls) that have curly and hard to manage hair suffer everyday when it comes to styling it. Sometimes it’s so difficult to control curly and frizzy hair, that women give up on styling it and resort to putting it up with a clip or in a ponytail.

Many people dream of having straight, silky, and glossy hair. They resort to certain tools and treatments that just damage your hair and dry it up until it loses life and brightness.

As a result, studies have shown that apart from genetics (a factor that influences your hair type), your hair must also be very well taken care of so that it is in good shape- depending on your taste. Here are some recipes to make your own homemade hair smoothing cream.

Homemade Olive Oil Cream

  • – 30 grams of olive oil
  • – One capsule of jasmine oil
  • – 30 grams of ammoniac-free conditioner

Mix all the ingredients well. You will get a cream that has a silky consistency. Before using your normal conditioner, put this mixture from the middle of the strand to the tip and let it sit for a few minutes. Rinse very well and then brush your hair like normal, but don’t use a hair dryer.

Use a styling cream that doesn’t have any salt so that you don’t dry out your hair too much. You will prevent it from getting too damaged when you apply each one of these creams so your hair is straight, smooth, and manageable.

Homemade Coconut Cream

Coconut oil

The following is what you will need to make this cream:

  • – Half a fresh coconut
  • – 1 tablespoon of ground oats
  • – 1 tablespoon of starch
  • – 1/2 cup of milk

Put all of the ingredients in a food processor (except the starch) and then strain the mixture. Dissolve the starch in a little bit of water and then put it on the stove along with the other mixture (mix them together before). Stir it continuously until you get a cream-like consistency.

Apply this cream to your hair and let sit for 25 minutes. Then, wash your hair like normal with a mild shampoo.

It’s no secret that these creams won’t have any immediate effects. Be consistent in applying them so that they can work and also so that it lasts when your hair becomes straighter. Don’t be afraid to use your straightening iron to minimize frizz when you let your hair air dry. You can also use these natural homemade creams to prevent this from happening to your hair.

Remember to use a flat iron and dryer at a moderate temperature because you could damage hair’s cuticles, which makes it dull and lifeless.
