Did you know that oxytocin is called the love hormone? Well, this hormone also affects your emotional state. When you have higher levels of oxytocin, you will feel  more relaxed and calm.

  • This hormone makes us less sensitive to negative emotions and draining elements in our environment.
  • Oxytocin is released much more quickly when you have physical contact with someone else. This can come through hugs, handshakes, pats on the back, and orgasms.

Your facial muscles have a very important effect on your emotions. This is especially true since they can determine what hormones your body releases. If you take up habits, like constantly smiling, you will notice a positive change in your mood.
