About the author
She has a Diploma in Nursing awarded by the Complutense University of Madrid. She has a specialty in Obstetric-Gynecological Nursing (midwife) from the University of Navarra. She has written numerous scientific articles and participated in multiple conferences and presentations.
In the same way, she has carried out her work as a midwife in various hospitals in the Spanish public and private network and has worked for several years in the pediatric UCo of the Clinical Hospital of Madrid as a pediatric nurse.
Currently, Sara Cañamero directs the MaterNatal comprehensive care center for women and early childhood in Madrid, and is the coordinator of the rehabilitation program for diastasis rectus abdominis No+Diastasis.
Likewise, she has been a tutor in the practical training of the Maternal and Child course at the Complutense University of Madrid and a tutor of care practices in the practical training of midwives at the Virgen del Camino Hospital.
Thanks to her passion for writing, she has collaborated for years with different media outlets (Children's Guide, El País, Suavinex, Baby on Board, among others), and is the author of the book Call the midwife: give birth, raise, love and is the administrator of her own personal blog MatronaMadrid.
