Flax seed, also known as linseed, has many great properties. People use it as a home remedy in various applications; two of the more popular ones are to cleanse the colon and burn body fat. Do you want to know how you can do this? Find out in the next article. We’ll explain how you can cleanse your colon and burn fat with flax seed, so keep reading!

To give you the full background, your intestines (or colon) are in charge of eliminating parasites and undigested solid matter from your body.

Problems arise when some of these residues aren’t completely removed and they begin to accumulate. This can cause certain diseases, because the toxins eventually get to your bloodstream. In turn, your body suffers irreparable damage.

Some problems you might experience include: constipation, diabetes, an accelerated metabolism, liver or kidney disease, vision or hearing problems, arthritis, cancer, poor hair and nail growth, and dull or lifeless skin.

The relationship between cleansing your colon and losing weight

Many people don’t understand why the first thing they should do to lose weight is a colon cleanse. So, it’s important to know that not everything you eat has to “stay” in your body.

The waste that accumulates in your intestines can make you feel swollen and unhealthy. Especially if you eat an unbalanced diet. For example, a diet with too much white flour, refined sugars, and fats.

These bad habits also cause abdominal pain, discomfort, weight gain, and allergies as well as indigestion or a slow digestion.

From the moment you decide to cleanse your colon in order to lose weight and clear out any waste that’s stored in your intestines, you must change your diet and include more healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and fiber.

What are the properties of flax seed?

Flax seed or linseed is a powerful anti-carcinogenic. It also has the ability to block the flow of estrogen, by simulating this hormone (due to its high content of omega-3 fatty acids). Flax seed contains a substance that regulates blood pressure and arterial function, making it an excellent choice for balancing the metabolism of fats, calcium, and energy.

Flax seed also contains a lot of dietary fiber, more than any other grain. This, along with the other components that we listed before, turn flax seed into a super food. Therefore, it’s great for diets that help to lose weight, lower your cholesterol levels, and prevent constipation.

As if this wasn’t enough, flax seed lowers the risk of breast, prostate, lung, and colon cancer. It can also have amazing effects on the following conditions:

  • Stress
  • Diabetes
  • Fluid retention
  • Sperm production
  • Depression
  • Allergies
  • Glandular function
  • Visual problems

How to use flax seed to cleanse your colon and lose weight

Most enemas and colon cleanses only work within a very small portion of the intestines, about 50 centimeters in. They also require very specific tools and a certain knowledge to do them properly. Therefore, a great way to cleanse your colon completely is eating flax seed or linseed flour for three consecutive weeks.

This treatment will completely cleanse your colon by removing any excess mucus, fecal matter, and parasites. But it’ll keep your intestinal microflora intact. This method will also help you lose weight and burn fat faster. It’ll have a positive effect on the regulation of lipid metabolism.

Flax seed is easily absorbed to eliminate toxins from your body, reduce your cholesterol levels, and lower the fat and sugar content in your bloodstream. A colon cleanse using flax seed is good for people who suffer from:

  • Inflammation of the gastrointestinal system or upper respiratory tract
  • Stomach ulcers, gastritis, colitis, or a duodenal ulcer
  • Diseases like urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, or cystitis
  • Obesity or excessive body weight as well as lipid metabolism disorders

How you should eat flax seed to cleanse your colon

Eat the next mixture for three consecutive weeks before having breakfast:

  • 1st week: mix one tablespoon of flax seed flour with 100 ml of kefir (you can find this in health food stores)
  • 2nd week: mix two tablespoons of flax seed flour with 100 ml of kefir
  • 3d week: mix three tablespoons of flax seed flour with 150 ml of kefir

During the day you should eat as healthy as possible. It’s better if you eat mostly raw foods, with plenty of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and mineral water. If you can’t find kefir, you can use Greek or plain yogurt, although homemade yogurt is way better.

Another recipe using flax seed to lose weight and cleanse your colon

You should eat this every day for an entire month. It’ll help you lose around 9 pounds if you do it along with eating a healthy diet, exercising, and drinking plenty of water (two liters a day).

Boil a tablespoon of flax seed in a cup of water. When the water has a “gooey” texture, it’s ready. Strain the liquid and drink it before breakfast. Make only the amount you’re going to drink that day. This is a natural laxative, so you’ll find yourself heading to the bathroom more frequently.
