Stuffed meatballs prevent anemia

Red meat stands out for its heme-iron content. This mineral has a much higher absorption capacity than its vegetable counterpart.

It’s also a key element in the transport of oxygen through the blood. According to research published in the journal The Medical Clinics of North America, a deficiency of this element can lead to anemia over time.

However, you should keep in mind that the availability of iron can be increased by taking vitamin C together with it. Thus, a greater amount will be absorbed at the intestinal level, which is key to preventing inefficiencies in the physiology of the organism.

The meat in stuffed meatballs improves hormonal balance

Many of the micronutrients contained inside the meat are crucial to ensure optimal hormone production. For example, zinc has been shown to participate in the synthesis of testosterone, a key element for men’s health.

Selenium, in turn, can generate an important antioxidant effect to prevent alterations in the functioning of many glands. To avoid a situation of essential micronutrient deficiency, it’s best to ensure a varied diet.

The wider the spectrum of foods consumed, the lower the risk. This will improve long-term health and thus reduce the incidence of chronic diseases.
