What is ear wax?

Many people think that keeping good hygiene only means getting rid of earwax. After all, earwax is a sticky, unpleasant, and unhygienic substance. However, there’s nothing farther from the truth.

It’s also in charge of safeguarding your eardrum from the world that surrounds it. Earwax stops dust, foreign objects, and any residue from getting in there.

In addition, it protects the inside of your ear from infections and small bacteria that can come in contact with your ear canal. Its function is highly important. Thus, ear hygiene doesn’t only imply cleaning earwax.
