Coconut oil and baking soda to fight plaque

2 whitening paste

Coconut oil is known for being a potent antimicrobial product that can destroy various microorganisms that develop in the mouth.

When you combine it with a little baking soda you get an interesting toothpaste that will fight plaque, bacteria, and bad breath.


  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (30 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda (20 g)

How do you make it?

  • Add the coconut oil to a bowl and mix in the baking soda until you get a creamy paste.
  • Place a small amount of this paste on your toothbrush and apply it to your teeth as you would with any commercial toothpaste.
  • Brush your teeth for three minutes and rinse with water.
  • Use this once a day, every day.

Salt and baking soda

The antiseptic properties of salt combined with baking soda will give you a natural rinse that neutralizes the growth of bacteria and reduces the formation of tartar.

This will help you clean the inside of the mouth and gums, as well as the tongue.


  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda (10 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt (3 g)
  • 1 cup of water (200 ml)

How do you make it?

  • Heat the water until it’s warm and add the baking soda and salt.
  • Stir with a spoon until it’s completely dissolved, and when it has cooled somewhat rinse your mouth thoroughly for one minute after you brush your teeth.
  • Spit out the rest of the liquid and use this rinse once a day.

Aloe vera

  • Place these two ingredients in the blender and process them for a few seconds until they’re well integrated.
  • Use this mixture as a rinse, preferably twice a day after brushing.

Strawberries and coconut oil

A paste made with strawberries and coconut oil is used not only to fight plaque on the teeth, but also to whiten teeth.

This will reduce the formation of tartar and any yellow stains that are caused by the consumption of certain foods and beverages.


  • 3 strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (5 g)

How do you make it?

  • Crush the strawberries and combine their pulp with the teaspoon of coconut oil.
  • Use this paste as you would normal toothpaste to brush your teeth.
  • Rinse with water and repeat every day.

Lemon essential oil

  • 5 drops of lemon essential oil
