Why You Should Exfoliate Your Skin and How

Exfoliation consists of the removal of dead skin cells. Your skin naturally regenerates cells once a month on average. However, with the passage of time, this process becomes slow, which allows dead cells to stay on the surface and block the growth of new cells. So here are some methods and natural recipes to exfoliate your skin.

Now that you know why you should exfoliate your skin (at least once a week), we would like to show you some recipes that are economic, simple, and effective to hydrate and renew your skin.

Carrot

Blend a carrot, mix its juice with a moisturizing cream, and apply it to your hands, feet, and face. You can do it while bathing. Remove it with plenty of water.

Lemon for Your Elbows

This is one of the least cared for areas of your body, however you should pay as much attention to it as the rest of your body. Cut a lemon in half and massage it into your skin. Leave it on for a few minutes and remove the lemon with baby oil.

Aspirin

Dissolve aspirin in a glass of water. Soak a cotton ball in this liquid and scrub it on your face. This will work as an astringent.

Sugar

Pour a few tablespoons in a container, add a little bit of hand cream, and massage it onto your arms, hands, and feet.

Honey

Mix a tablespoon of honey with two ground almonds and add half a tablespoon of lemon juice. Use this mask on your face once a week and rinse with warm water.




Papaya

Use a slice of seedless papaya, make a puree, and apply it to your face. Papaya contains papain, an enzyme that dissolves oil and removes dead skin cells.

Grape Oil for Cellulite

Mix 2 tablespoons of grape oil, 7 grams of corn flour, and 4 drops of lemon juice until you get a blended paste. Apply this to your hips and muscles in circular motions. This will help reduce cellulite as well.

Oats

Mix 3 tablespoons of ground oats with 1/4 tablespoon of milk. Put a few cotton balls in it and remove. The cotton ball will make this liquid thicker. Use the mixture as a facial mask.

Clay

Mix green, red, or white clay with a little bit of mineral water until you get a blended paste. Apply it to your body in the bath, let sit for 10 minutes, and remove with plenty of warm water.

Olive Oil

Take two tablespoons of olive oil and mix with one of salt. Salt will cleanse your body while the oil will give it smoothness.

Honey, Lemon, and Sugar

Mix these three ingredients in equal parts, stir until you get a blended paste, and apply it your entire body in circular motions with your hands.

Coffee

Coffee also has benefits for exfoliating your skin. Mix a little bit of coffee with moisturizing creams, apply it to your whole body, massage, and remove with plenty of water.

Baking Soda

This recipe is more than simple. Mix a little bit of baking soda with water to make a thick paste and apply it your entire body.

Banana

This recipe is great for oily skin! Blend a ripe banana, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/4 vanilla extract. Apply it to your whole body and massage. It’s important that you massage in circular motions and from the bottom up. Rinse with warm water.

Coconut and Brown Sugar

This recipe is great for spoiling your body because besides moisturizing it, it relaxes it because of its texture and smell. Mix a half cup of coconut oil with a half cup of brown sugar and massage your entire body with this mixture. Remove with warm water.
