Exfoliate Your Way to Beautiful Radiant Skin

April 4, 2019
The skin is the largest organ we have and, at the same time, it is continuously exposed to many factors that can negatively influence its beauty and health. With time and because of factors such as climate and poor eating habits, the skin tends to be more delicate and require careful attention.

No matter how old we are, we can start giving special care to our skin at anytime; there are many alternatives that give a smoother and more radiant look to your skin, so that it will glow with health and vitality.

Tips for healthy and radiant skin

  • Use sunscreen: it’s essential that you protect your skin every day from ultraviolet rays. Therefore it’s recommended to apply a sunscreen of at least SPF 30, although there are also others with higher protection.
  • Balanced diet: diet has a lot to do with health in general and, of course, with the health of the skin. It’s important to consume fresh vegetables, fruits and foods rich in vitamins and minerals. This way your skin becomes firm and the cells regenerate.
  • Sleep: this is the best medicine for a healthy-looking and radiant skin. Sleep is essential because during sleep, the cell activation is at its maximum and its activity increases up to three times more than during the day. This way, cells repair is taking place. It’s recommended to sleep for at least 8 hours a day.
  • Cleaning: every day our skin is exposed to external contaminants, wind, dust and cosmetics that can clog pores and limit the ability of skin regeneration. For this reason, it’s important to clean it daily, preferably at bedtime, so that makeup and all those impurities that can affect the health of the skin are eliminated.

Other recommendations

  • Hydration: skin hydration is essential for a smooth and radiant look. For this, the market offers many special creams and products that also provide other benefits. Alternatively, we can also moisturize the skin with homemade masks and creams based on natural products.
  • Healthy habits: having a good exercise routine and avoiding bad habits like alcohol, drugs, smoking, among others, is vital to the health of our skin. Bad habits can cause irritation, allergies, pH imbalances and dryness, among others.
  • Exfoliation: There are many ways to exfoliate your skin and cleanse it of impurities. When we do a peel we complement the regeneration of cells and remove those that are dead. This revitalizes the skin and allows a better oxygenation. Just as with moisturizers, there are many exfoliation products on the market, but there are also natural alternatives that are easily made at home, without being too expensive.
