How to Naturally Reduce the Appearance of Age Spots on Your Hands

· October 19, 2017
If you're looking to reduce the appearance of age spots on your hands, look no further than these fantastic natural remedies!

The skin that covers our hands is more delicate than in other areas of the body and, unfortunately, it’s also exposed to more wear.

Their contact with diverse surfaces, the impact of the sun’s rays, and the use of chemical cleaning supplies are some of the reasons that age spots, wrinkles, and other imperfections can appear.

The problem is that we don’t usually take care of them during our daily beauty routine and, although there are products to treat them, many ignore them until they notice changes.

While it is more likely to have them after the age of 40, many times they form prematurely as a result of a lack of nutrients.

Fortunately, the use of some homemade remedies can decrease their appearance, minimize hyperpigmentation, and reduce the effects of the toxins.

We want to take this opportunity to share 5 good options that you should try to use at least two times a week.

1. Homemade avocado, lemon, and yogurt cream

Avocado cream

A mix of avocado, lemon, and natural yogurt gives us a hydrating cream with clarifying properties, ideal for reducing the appearance of spots and wrinkles on our hands.

Its nutrients counter the negative effects of the sun and your environment, leaving them soft and moisturized.

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons of natural yogurt (54 g)

  • Extract the center of the ripe avocado and mix it with the lemon juice and natural yogurt

How to apply

  • Rub the cream on your hands and let sit for 20 minutes
  • Rinse and store the leftover product in the fridge
  • Only use at night

2. Homemade pepper, parsley, and wheat germ cream

The ingredients that are used to make this natural cream allow us to exfoliate our hands and, with time, clear up the dark spots.

Its application provides extra hydration for dry skin and, with time, eliminates wrinkles and imperfections caused by toxins.

  • 1 pepper
  • 2 sprigs of parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of wheat germ oil (15 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (20 ml)

  • Process the pepper in the blender and, after you have a paste, mix it with the parsley, wheat germ, and lemon juice
  • Pour the product into a container and proceed to use it

How to apply

  • At night, before going to bed, rub the cream on your hands and let sit for 15 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water and store the rest of the cream in the freezer

3. Coconut milk and aloe vera cream

Coconut and aloe vera cream

Rich in antioxidants, fatty acids, and proteins, this natural cream is a great solution for hyperpigmentation of the hands.

Its absorption minimizes the look of spots and, by stimulating cellular activity, prevents the premature signs of aging.

  • 6 tablespoons of coconut milk (60 ml)
  • 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel (60 g)

  • Combine the coconut milk with the aloe vera gel until you have a creamy paste

How to apply

  • Apply the cream to your hands and let sit for 40 minutes before rinsing

4. Aspirin and coconut oil cream

Aspirin contains a substance known as salicylic acid that, once it absorbs into the skin, minimizes the formation of spots and wrinkles.

Combined with the nutrients of the coconut oil you get an exfoliating and regenerating cream that is ideal for maintaining soft, beautiful hands.

  • 5 aspirin
  • 2 tablespoons of organic coconut oil (30 g)

  • Grind the aspirin and, once you have a powder, mix it with the coconut oil

How to apply

  • Rub the aspirin cream on your hands and let sit for 30 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water

5. Homemade baking soda, lemon, and  honey cream

Baking soda, lemon, honey lotion

Baking soda is an exfoliating product that helps with the eliminations of dead skin and impurities left on the skin.

When it is mixed with lemon and honey it makes a clarifying and antioxidant cream that is ideal for reducing skin spots on your hands.

  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda (20 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (10 ml)
  • 4 tablespoons of bee honey (100 g)

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a container until you have a creamy paste.

How to apply
