1. Epsom salt

  • First, add half a cup of Epsom salt in a bowl with hot water.

2. Olive Oil

  • To begin, heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil at a temperature that’s suitable for applying on your skin.
  • Then, rub it on your feet while you perform a gentle massage on them. Extend the treatment for about 10 minutes and rest.
  • If you wish, repeat the remedy every night before bedtime.

3. Burning feet tips: thyme

  • As a start, add fresh thyme in a pot of boiling water.
  • Then, cover it and let it cool down until it reaches a tolerable temperature.
  • Pour the liquid in a bowl with water and soak your feet in it for 20 minutes.
  • Optionally, combine about 5 drops of thyme oil with olive oil and massage.

4. Flaxseed oil

Flaxseed oil is listed as a therapeutic oil because of its significant concentration of omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Its topical application regulates the activity of the nervous system. It also improves blood flow and decreases inflammation.


  • First, put a tablespoon of flaxseed oil on the palms of your hands.
  • Then, rub them together and proceed to massage your feet for 10 minutes and then rest.

5. Hot and cold water

Our last remedy for burning feet on this list is a basic and affordable alternative for everyone. It consists of alternating hot and cold water. This simple therapy helps recover muscle, tendons, and nerves after any high-intensity activity.


  • Begin by soaking your feet in hot water when you have that burning sensation.
  • Then, wait for about 3 minutes and then move your feet to a bowl with cold water.
  • Repeat the above procedure 2 or 3 times or until your feet are relaxed.

The use of these remedies for burning feet is usually enough to calm the discomfort. However, seek medical assistance as soon as possible if your symptoms persist or worsen, especially if you’re diabetic. Also, watch out for other symptoms such as open sores or wounds, intense burning, radiating burning towards the legs, tenderness in the fingers, etc.
