Baked delights: 5 roasted potato recipes

1. Potatoes with peas and cheddar cheese

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • ½ can of peas (63 g)
  • 2 cups of cheddar cheese (300 g)
  • Vegetable oil (preferably olive)
  • Condiments: salt, parsley
  • Optional: 1 small onion (30 g)

Preparation

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes. Next, cut them into sticks.
  2. Bake the potato sticks at 180ºC for about 25 or 30 minutes, approximately.
  3. Heat a pan over medium heat, barely greased with a little olive oil.
  4. Then, cut the onion into small pieces (as much as possible). Once it is ready, put it in the pan for a few minutes until golden brown. Stir constantly so that it does not burn. When it is ready, turn off the flame and set off to the side.
  5. Open the can of peas and use half of them. Drain the liquid and set aside in a bowl.
  6. Chop the cheddar cheese into small pieces and out it in the microwave (at low intensity) for 15 seconds. You can also grate the cheese, if that is easier. If the 15 seconds are not enough, put it back in for another 10 seconds (try not to overdo it so you don’t completely remove the moisture from the cheese).
  7. Remove the potatoes from the oven and immediately pour the cheddar cheese, the peas and the onion over them . Then sprinkle a pinch of parsley on top and that’s it!
