We all suffer from anxiety at one point or another in our life, whether just a bit of unease or a true anxiety attack.  Whatever your experience with anxiety, you should always be aware of it and its effects on your daily routine. Anxiety can be chronic and debilitating. Ask yourself: Are your anxiety levels too high? Try the following anxiety test to determine where you are.

With a simple test you can find out where your anxiety levels are at. You should always keep in mind that physical symptoms, cognitive symptoms and behavior symptoms can indicate high levels of stress.  Anxiety can have many causes including personal, but it’s important to be able to manage anxiety. If your final result is indicative of a high anxiety level, then you’ll need to make some lifestyle adjustments, establish some health priorities and above all think of your health.

Interpreting your results

0-18 points — No anxiety

It’s possible that you may feel nervous during some occasions, but your responses to anxiety-inducing situations is healthy and within healthy limits. Good job!

19-36 points — Low or moderate anxiety

You’re still within normal levels. But you should be careful because even at a moderate level you may have trouble managing your anxiety. In other words, you’re fine but keep your eyes open so that you don’t over stress or put yourself in anxiety-inducing situations and always manage your emotions.

37-54 points – High anxiety

Warning: you suffer from anxiety levels that are way above normal and could be dangerous. It’s time to make a change in your life and in your daily habits to make sure that you stay healthy. If you don’t address the problem now you may face more harmful consequences later. Begin to make efforts to relax, find help and make positive changes.
