It’s thought that for the body to remain healthy, it’s pH must stay between 7.35 and 7.45. The problem is that our diets are becoming more acidic. Most people are not aware that a large percentage of the foods we normally consume can alters these levels.

As a consequence, the organs will experience a series of problems when trying to carry out their functions. As toxin levels increase, tissues begin to deteriorate and serious diseases occur.

Alkaline water is made by mixing Himalayan rose salt and lemon with purified water. It provides good amounts of vitamin C, bioflavonoids, pectin and essential minerals. These protect the immune, digestive and cardiovascular systems.

In addition, it also contains essential oils like limonene and alpha-thujone. These oils’ antioxidant effects help minimize the negative effects of free radicals. And so, drinking it in moderation contributes to healthy weight loss, fights fluid retention and soothes tension headaches.

It also increases physical and mental energy levels, and reduces the symptoms of stress and irritability. It’s easy to prepare and the ingredients can be found quite cheaply in health food stores.

Ingredients

  • 1 organic lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan rose salt
  • 4 pints purified water.
