1. Good wine has to be expensive

2. Good wines can’t be made with mixed grape varieties

3. If a wine has a screw cap, it’s a fake

5. One wine can’t pair with various types of dishes
Some people believe that there’s only one wine that that can pair with a given dish.

6. Pretty labels mean better wines

7. Wine sediment means it contains dyes

There are some who think that the sediment sometimes found in a glass of wine comes from colorants added to wine. In addition, many people also believe that this sediment is associated with the quality of the product that’s generally believed to be poor.
Actually, the only thing that sediment means is that wine isn’t filtered and it’s as natural as possible, which is actually even better than filtered wines. It’s really the opposite of what people believe.
8. Wine looses quality as years go by
Although this myth is widely believed, wine generally doesn’t lose quality with the passing of time. It only happens with a very small percentage of wines.
It’s the same case for the flavor: it doesn’t get better with time, either. What is true, however, is that most drinks do get worse with time.
