Apple cider vinegar is a natural product that’s been used for thousands of years in all things related to cooking and natural medicine.

The high content of acids, antioxidants, and nutrients in this ingredient may help treat common ailments like colds, indigestion, and infections, among others.

Aside from these applications, however, you should also know that these properties can serve cosmetic purposes as well.

This product has been shown to be very good for acne, sunburns, skin spots, and other unsightly blemishes. These benefits stem from the rich bacteria and yeast that are obtained during the fermentation process.

Because many of you might not know how to use it yet, today we want to share eight cosmetic uses for this product.

1. As an anti-wrinkle product

The acetic acid and antioxidants contained in this ingredient may help regulate your skin’s pH and prevent the formation of wrinkles.

We recommend to combine it with a little cucumber puree to get a revitalizing and moisturizing facial mask.


  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (10 ml)
  • 1/2 a cucumber


  • Process the cucumber in a blender and mix in the tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
  • Apply this product to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse and repeat approximately three times a week.

2. To manicure your nails

If you want your nail polish to last longer and keep it from chipping after a couple of days, use some of this vinegar before you paint your nails.


  • 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar (62 ml)
  • 1/4 cup of water (62 ml)


  • Combine equal parts apple cider vinegar and water and soak the tips of your fingers inside this mixture for 10 minutes.
  • Dry your nails thoroughly and then apply nail polish.

3. Apple cider vinegar as a natural mouthwash

The antibacterial properties of apple cider vinegar may help fight the bacteria that cause mouth infections and bad breath.


  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (20 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (5 g)
  • 1 cup of warm water (200 ml)


  • Combine the apple cider vinegar, salt, and warm water.
  • After you brush your teeth, gargle with this mixture.

4. For weight loss

Interestingly, this type of vinegar may aid weight loss. Its low-calorie count and rich nutritional portfolio may help you burn more fat.


  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (20 ml)
  • 1 cup of warm water (200 ml


  • Dilute the two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in the warm water and drink this on an empty stomach every morning.

5. As a natural conditioner

If you apply this ingredient to your hair, it may help improve its brilliance and vitality. Mix in some essential oils with it to make a homemade conditioner.


  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (20 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil (14 g)


  • Combine these two ingredients and apply them to wet hair.
  • Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing.
  • Repeat this every day.

6. Dandruff control

The malic acid in this product may help fight dryness, dandruff, and other scalp problems.

It may also help decrease the presence of certain fungi and can reduce your risk of infection.


  • 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (30 ml)
  • 1/2 cup of water (125 ml)
  • 6 drops of tea tree oil


  • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and massage the mixture into your scalp.
  • Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
  • Repeat this procedure three times a week.

7. To fight acne

Acne and pimples result from an abundance of toxins and excess oil production. Apple cider vinegar may help regulate the skin’s natural and fight bacteria and inflammation.


  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (10 ml)
  • 4 tablespoons of water (40 ml)


  • Dilute the apple cider vinegar in the four tablespoons of water and use a cotton swab to apply this mixture to any affected areas.
  • Repeat this process twice a day, every day.

8. To treat sunburn

When you apply this ingredient to sunburn, it may help soothe the pain and burning sensation.


  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (20 ml)
  • 1/4 cup of water (62 ml)
  • Ice cubes


  • Dilute the vinegar in water and add the ice cubes.
  • Dip a clean cloth in this mixture and apply it to the affected areas.
  • Repeat this procedure if needed.
