6 Natural Remedies for Cracked Lips

Cracked lips are a common issue that fortunately have a simple solution.

  • 10 drops of olive oil
  • 1 cotton ball

Procedure

Damp the cotton ball with olive oil and apply on the area around your lips at night. Let it sit and rinse with cold water the following morning. You will initially see results within a week.

2. Honey

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 cotton swab

Preparation

Swipe the cotton swap with honey and apply it on the cracks. Let it sit and then rinse with cold water. Repeat twice a day and you will notice changes after the first week.

3. Coconut oil

  • 1 3 cm piece of papaya
  • 1/2 teaspoon of honey

Preparation

Mix both ingredients until you get a paste. Apply on cracks and then cover your lips with a towel. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water.

6. Coconut and rose lip balm

This remedy is quite easy to carry around and it helps eliminate cracked lips in a short period of time.

Ingredients

  • 1/8 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of bee wax
  • 1/8 cup of shea butter
  • 6 ChapStick tubes
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of rose petals (fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet almond oil

Preparation

Put all ingredients – – except for the petals – – in a small double boiler. Heat ingredients in the microwave for 30 seconds or until it becomes a liquid. Add the rose petals and mix well. Pour the mixture into the ChapStick tubes.  Put the mixture in the fridge so it solidifies. Use this remedy anytime you need it.
