When you look at yourself in the mirror, how would you say your face looks? If you had to leave for event in a few minutes, would you feel confident about how you look?

The reality is very few people would answer “Yes” to this question. Therefore, we want to share recipes for some great masks so you can have radiant skin any time.

There are facial treatments out there which, when applied regularly, can nourish the face, moisturize or get rid of acne. However, there will be times when, you your face to look radiant without so much long-term treatment.

2. Mashed oatmeal mask

Oats are incredibly good for your health and very useful. We recommend using oatmeal masks not just for your face, but also for your body and hair.

Two of the ingredients in this mask are honey and ice. Honey gives an incredible shine, while ice attenuates wrinkles and tightens the skin. Finally, oatmeal serves as an exfoliant.

  2. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove with warm water.
  4. Pass some ice all over your whole face to close the pores.

3. Tomato mask

Don’t have chamomile or oatmeal to hand? Surely, you’ve at least got a tomato in your kitchen, or at least a slice.

If so, you’re in luck since, as well as being a versatile and nutritious food, tomatoes are an excellent facial bleach and bacteria eliminator.

Ingredient:

If the tomato is cooked, squash it with your hands. If it’s a bit green, crush it with a spoon or with a food processor.

  1. Apply it directly to your face.
  2. Leave for 5 minutes.
  3. Rinse with fresh water.

This mask is one of the best facial recipes to have a radiant face in just a few minutes. Plus, the freshness that you feel on your radiant skin is practically immediate. If you decide to apply it frequently, you will notice that spots begin to gradually disappear, too.

4. Yogurt mask

This is an excellent recipe for using alongside different facial treatments, or you can use it on its own.

It’s an ideal mask for dehydrated, dry, or spotty skin.

5. Banana mask

Banana mask

Bananas are considered one of the best natural moisturizers: they’re a true gift from mother nature. And they work immediately.

So, make the most of any banana you have at home, but it’s always best to make this mask with ripe bananas.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana without skin
  • 2 tbsps. of yogurt.
  • 1 tbsps. of honey

Preparation:

  1. Crush the banana until you get a smooth paste.
  2. Add the yogurt and honey in a glass bowl and beat the mixture well. You can also mix everything in a blender.

Application:

  1. Clean your skin.
  2. Apply the mask.
  3. Leave for 5 minutes.
  4. Rinse with fresh water.

Additional advice for applying face masks

For these masks to give the expected results, it’s important that you take into account the following:

  1. Apply the masks to clean skin. Although some of the masks exfoliate, they’ll work faster if you first wash your face with water and neutral soap.
  2. Prepare the masks when you need them and try to avoid leaving them out for more than two hours. If you leave them for longer, some of their ingredients may lose their properties and become less effective.

Ideally, use fresh products and you should choose ingredients that are in good condition. In the case of papaya or banana, you can choose ones with a certain degree of maturity (as long as they’re not decomposed, of course)!
